VineShipping is the belief that Ash's and May's Bulbasaur are a couple. It is seen as a parallel ship to AdvanceShipping as the two Bulbasaur appear to have feelings for each other, and several notable researchers in the Pokémon anime have stated that Pokémon mirror a trainer's inner feelings. This concept has also been tried to be used by Brock on several occasions to try and woo female trainers into liking him. So this only further helps the idea of the parallels.

However, since it has been revealed that May has evolved her Bulbasaur into a Venusaur, VineShipping is thrown into question until more interaction between the two can be seen.
